Vets Fear Disability Claim Changes

Veterans are currently fearing receiving smaller rations…believing that the government owes them their due for sacrificing their lives in war…or the bigger fear: being cut off completely.
The American Legion’s Louis Celli speaks, “think veterans have already paid their fair share to support this nation. They’ve paid it in lower wages while serving, they’ve paid it through their wounds and sacrifices on the battlefield and they’re paying it now as they try to recover from those wounds.”
A very difficult decision for lawmakers…while the Congressional Budget Office has made a statement that utilizing a chained Consumer Price Index would cut the deficit by nearly $340 billion past the next decade or so. A chained CPI would mean changes in consumer behavior.
